To All Pacific Play Tents Valued Customers:

Recently, we have all heard of mass re-calls and safety issues concerning toys and other products manufactured in China. We want to reassure our valued customers that all of our products are safe and are tested to insure they exceed the quality & safety guidelines as set forth in the United States safety standards.

Pacific Play Tents wants to assure you that we do not take safety lightly. First and foremost, all Pacific Play Tents products are (and always have been) extensively safety tested, for lead content as well as fire retardantcy, small objects, and overall safe quality production. Each product that we manufacture undergoes testing that complies with the guideline as set forth by the Consumer Products Safety Commission of the U.S.A. (CPSC part 1303, Title 16, Code of Regulations, Chapter ll). In addition, each and every item is further tested to comply with the requirements of the American Society for Testing and Materials - ASTM F963-07. As a further precaution, we also test to insure compliance with the Mechanical and Physical requirements of ASTM F963-96a Standard Consumer Safety Specifications on Toy Safety of USA.

To further establish Pacific Play Tents as the safest and finest quality play tents and tunnels on the market, we also test the “Tensile Strength” of the materials we use (ASTM D5034-95) and “Tear Strength” (ASTM D1424). In addition to the lead testing, we also test for supplementary chemicals such as Cadmium, Mercury and Hexavalent Chromium content in all packaging and printing materials, which comply with EC 94/62. This includes all inks used in both packaging as well as in any printing on the products themselves.

Pacific Play Tents has been a leader in the play tent category and our products have become synonymous with quality and safety as well as creativity and educational play value. Our dedication to safety goes well beyond the required testing. We introduced our exclusive “padded interior” tunnels more than 10 years ago. This was done to make sure that as children crawled through our tunnels, they didn’t get hurt on or feel the wire in the tunnels. We changed from the inexpensive hollow PVC pole systems (that many companies continue to use) more than 10 years ago as well. We use only our patented “G-3” pole system of a shock corded fiberglass pole encased in polyurethane. Not only does this production method make for a safer pole, but it makes for a stronger pole as well. We eliminated all draw strings and cords years ago and replaced them with Velcro (now with radius corners). We continually strive to be at the forefront of innovation and safety, insuring that each and every Pacific Play Tents item is the very best product on the market.

Our product safety standards extend well beyond what is required of us. There is no price one can put on our children, therefore safety is and will continue to be the most important asset in each of our products. We want everyone that purchases any Pacific Play Tents product to know we have always been committed to offering the safest and most innovative play tents and tunnels available anywhere.

Pacific Play Tents thanks you for your past and future support, and looks forward to many more years of being a leader and innovator in safe toy manufacturing and production.

Sincerely,

Brian Jablon
